The collection includes both million of images and thousands of samples from around the world.



More that 15000 samples of zooplancton (mostly preserved in Formaldehyde) are stored at the OOV in a dedicated room with highest health quality standard (see figure below). All the samples are available for scientists for their own scientific interests. We have developed an internet based software to relate all jars with the corresponding localization in the collection room, the images (when available) and results (when available).
